A Big Thank You & a Few Thoughts

Hi everyone,

Luck was on my side, I made it out to Spain just as they were starting to close down the airports due the volcanic ash cloud

Let me take this opportunity of saying a big thank you to Jess & her DIY team for doing the facelift on my property, I  know they have been working very hard and with a deadline to meet they have performed miracles and in the process have spent a few quid of my money, but judging by the pictures Jess has sent me, they have done a great job and yes for those wondering, I will be paying Jess & her DIY team for their hard work I do not expect something for nothing (I think Jess was saying something about 10% lol) I am sure she was only kidding at that figure, well at least I hope so! Lol

Anyway since I landed I have not stopped, it’s been hectic  here and believe it or not I have not even had time to sunbath but I am sure that there will be plenty of time for that sometime in the future

Just because I am in a hot sunny climate, life and business still goes on, albeit at a slightly more relaxed pace in a great location

But you know all of us should have a dream or a goal, be it saving for a new car, a luxury holiday, a designer pair of shoes, or maybe reducing debt levels

I can just hear people saying, well it’s easy for you, you have the resources to do it, and yes that may be true but it has not always been the case, there was a time in my life (many years ago) that my finances were rock bottom, I am not ashamed to admit it and at the time it was painful degrading and mentally challenging

But one thing I never let go of was belief in myself, every day for  months I would tell myself that I would move forward and bit by bit I did and climbed up the ladder again

I have known for many years what my plan was and through hard work I have made it happen, and yes of course some good luck comes into as well, but at the end of the day, life is what you make of it but one thing you can be sure of, is that it will not be handed to you on a plate, short of winning the lottery, but for most of us the odds of that happening are slim

Belief in yourself is a powerful force and should never been underestimated and for anybody reading this that is going through a really difficult time, you must believe in yourself, because whilst other people may be around you to help you, unless you believe in your own abilities you will not progress up the ladder again

Whilst I would not go as far as to say nothing is impossible, if you have enough self believe you will be really surprised what you can achieve if you put your mind to it, constant doubt in yourself or making excuses to put off doing something is a sure way not to move forward – set a goal and go for it – not sure who said this but “to have tried and failed is better than not to have tried at all”

When you look back over the years, who would have thought that the Berlin Wall would come down, that we would have an orbiting space station, that we would be watching news events unfolding around the world in real time from a satellite orbiting around earth and for the USA to have its first black president – As I said dreams goals and self believe make for a powerful force
